British Columbia Hotel Reservations
There’ll be no lack of exciting things to see and do during your next visit to Vancouver. A metropolitan city brimming with charm, glamour, thrills, and more, Vancouver is one of the premier destinations in British Columbia, home to exceptional attractions and welcoming locals. During the winter and into early spring, Vancouver will be buzzing with excitement – plan your visit and see for yourself.
Any winter visit to Vancouver should certainly include time spent on the slopes. Check out three of the BC’s premier ski areas during your visit – Grouse Mountain is just across the bay in North Vancouver, while Cypress Mountain was the host venue for Freestyle Skiing and Snowboarding during the 2010 Olympic Winter Games, and can be found in West Vancouver.
Travel north from downtown Vancouver and check out Whistler Blackcomb Mountain, which features 200 marked runs, 16 alpine bowls, three glaciers, and a total of 8,171 skiable acres. You can also make the short drive in from Maple Ridge, Langley, or Surrey.
During your early-spring visit to Vancouver, be sure to experience one of the most anticipated concert events slated for 2017. Head for Rogers Arena on March 14th starting at 7 p.m. to see Eric Church live on stage. A country music sensation, Church will be performing as part of his Holdin’ My Own Tour. And on March 27th, Chris Stapleton will take the stage at Rogers Arena.
The Rogers Arena is arguably the premier event venue in Vancouver for live performances. You can find it in downtown Vancouver adjacent to BC Place along Expo Boulevard. Rogers Arena is also home of the Vancouver Canucks of the NHL. Catch an exciting Canucks game during your visit – they’ll face the Calgary Flames on February 18th, and their final home game of season will be on April 8th against the Edmonton Oilers.
If your visit to the Vancouver Metro Area is slated for the holiday season, you’ll find much to do and see with the whole family. In nearby Harrison Hills, just north of Chilliwack, enjoy the annual Christmas at Kilby on December 10th and 11th. It’ll be hosted at the Kilby Historic Site, part of BC’s Museum of Rural Life.
Closer to downtown Vancouver, the VanDusen Botanical Garden will be hosting their annual Festival of Lights from December 7th through January 1st of 2017. And you won’t want to pass on the free ice skating found at Robson Square Ice Rink through the end of February.
