From: YVR Airport From the airport, take the Arthur Laing Bridge to Granville Street. Follow Granville Street to downtown. Once you cross the Granville Street Bridge the hotel is three blocks ahead on the right side. Turn right on Helmcken Street and the hotel driveway for check-in parking is immediately on your right.

From: US Border Seattle From Seattle take the I-5 to the US-Canada border. Across the border the highway is called Highway 99. Stay on Highway 99 all the way to Vancouver. Once you cross the Oak Street Bridge you will be on Oak Street. Follow Oak Street until 41st Avenue. Turn left on 41st Avenue and drive five blocks to Granville Street. Turn right on Granville Street and follow it downtown. Once you cross the Granville Street Bridge the hotel is three blocks ahead on the right side. Turn right on Helmcken Street and the hotel driveway for check-in parking is immediately on your right.

From: Highway 1 West (Horseshoe Take the Taylor Way exit, left on Marine Drive, right onto the Lions Gate Bridge, the Stanley Park Causeway becomes West Georgia Street, right on Howe Street, left on Helmcken, the Best Western Plus Chateau Granville Hotel & Suites and Conference Centre is on the next corner, pull into the short driveway off Helmcken for check-in.

From: Hwy 1 Stay on freeway until the Hastings Street Exit. Turn left on Hastings Street. Drive downtown to Richards Street. Turn left on Richards Street and drive six blocks to Helmcken Street. Turn right on Helmcken Street and drive two blocks. Hotel is located on left side of street at Helmcken and Granville Street.

From: Hwy 1 Westbound If you are travelling west on Highway 1 you must then take the Grandview Highway exit (Exit 28). Proceed westbound along Grandview Highway. Grandview Highway will then turn into east 12th Ave. Continue along 12th Ave westbound until Granville Street (12th Ave intersects with Granville Street between the 1400 block and the 1500 block of West 12th Ave). Turn right on Granville Street and then proceed down the hill towards the downtown center. Cross Granville Street Bridge which leads into the downtown core. Proceed along Granville Street to the third intersection at Helmcken Street and turn right. Turn right again into our driveway.

Stanley Park

Located in the east end of Vancouver, Stanley Park is a top destination for urban dwellers and travelers alike. Covering 1,001 acres (or 400 hectares) on the east border of downtown Vancouver, the park preserves the West Coast rainforest as it once was from the late 1800's before the city's growth. Densely forested, Vancouver's largest urban park contains approximately half a million trees, some of which are still hundreds of years old.

Over 8 million people visit each year to this National Historic Site of Canada. Features include the noteworthy seawall, a 5.5 mile (or 8.8 kilometre) walkway around the park open to bicyclists and pedestrians and the Stanley Park miniature train. Many hiking trails cross the park, and there are plenty of lookout spots with views of the surrounding Pacific Ocean. For more comfortable exploration, visitors can catch one of the bus, shuttle or horse drawn carriage tours.

A public research university located in the Vancouver metro area, the University of British Columbia was established in 1908 as McGill University. British Columbia’s oldest higher learning institute, UBC hosts nearly 60,000 students.
