Golfing Couple at Eaglepoint Golf Course
If you’re a casual golfer simply looking for a fun afternoon on your business trip, or if you’re on weekend getaway with your friends, there’s a wealth of attractive and challenging golf courses in the area.
Eaglepoint Golf Course is a wonderful display of course design, featuring 18 holes, and open to the public. McArthur Island Golf Club is a sterling example of executive style golfing. 9 holes open to the public play perfectly for a shortened game, or get the full 18-hole experience when you play through twice. Travel in from Salmon Arm or Merritt and play a round at Mount Paul Golf Course, another fine example of executive golfing.
Less than two hours east of Kamloops is Sicamous, where you’ll swing through both the Eagleriver Golf Course, and the Mara Lake Golf Course on Hyde Mountain, open only during the spring and summer.
When visiting Kelowna, you’re in for a real treat. Not only is Kelowna set neatly near cities like Penticton and Vernon, it’s home to four golf courses. Check out Gallaghers Canyon Golf & Country Club, or the Harvest Golf Club. If you’ve got an afternoon planned out with the family, sneak in an early 18 at the Vintage Hills Golf Course, or head to the Sunset Ranch Golf Course.
Plan some time for a visit to Invermere, where you’ll try for the course record at the Greywolf Golf Course. As one of the top-100 courses outside the US, as recognized by Golf Digest, Greywolf plays wonderfully for first timers to scratch golfers.
