BC Lavender Farm

Okanagan Lavender Herb Farm, Kelowna BC

If it’s a farm you want, a farm you’ll find in central British Columbia. From the produce of the Okanagan Valley to the gardens of BC’s mid-section, agritourism is alive and well in the Pacific Province.

The city of Salmon Arm yields many nearby sites for agritourism. Visit the new lambs at the Harmonious Homestead & Ewe, or enjoy a tour of the Gorts Gouda Cheese Farm.

If it’s a market you seek, Salmon Arm features DeMille’s Farm Market, Pedro Gonzales Farm Market, and the Hanna & Hanna Farm Market & Garden Centre. Northeast in Sicamous, the D-Dutchmen Dairy features fresh milk, signature ice cream, and a mini-zoo.

Vernon visitors are also in for a treat. Don’t miss the Planet Bee Honey Farm & Meadery – best visited during the summer – for the “Tours ‘n’ Tasting” experience. Enjoy live honeybee demonstrations, sample over 15 varieties of honey, and take home a souvenir from the Treasures of the Hive gift shop.

Then be sure to visit the Davison Orchards Country Village, featuring the Crazy Cow Kids Corral, Johnny Popper’s Orchard Tours, and Auntie May’s Deep Dish Café.

Set in the Okanagan Valley, Kelowna offers more opportunities for agricultural tourism. Book a tour of the Arlo’s Honey Farm in southeast Kelowna, or visit the Kelowna Petting Zoo at Falcon Ridge Farms – followed by a cup of Echinacea Mint tea.

For a relaxing getaway, the Okanagan Lavender Herb Farm offers yoga classes, self-guided garden tours, and treats like handmade lavender ice cream.

Set along the Thompson River, Kamloops features fairs and farms for all visitors. Don’t miss the Downtown Kamloops Farmers' Market from April through October, or September’s Provincial Winter Fair for livestock auctions, and horse shows.

Kamloops is also home to Tranquille Farm Fresh – featuring a corn maze, farmers’ market, and guided historic tours of the farmstead.
