Ainsworth Hot Springs
Enjoy Some R&R at the Ainsworth Hot Springs
A peaceful respite on the shores of Kootenay Lake in eastern British Columbia, the Ainsworth Hot Springs features three odourless pools and a unique horseshoe cave.
Take a relaxing steam bath in the heart of Mother Nature – no where else will you be able to marvel at stalactites and mineral water falls from hot deep pool caves.
The cave pools warm bathers to a therapeutic 42 degrees Celsius (108 degrees Fahrenheit) while the outdoor lounging pools are a slightly cooler 35 degrees Celsius (96 degrees Fahrenheit).
For those who are strong willed (and maybe a little bit crazy), the complex also features a stream-fed cold plunge.
Temperatures vary throughout the seasons, so be sure to jump in during the winter, if you dare. The springs are located near Nelson.
